How Long is MUA Recovery?

Although most patients experience almost immediate pain relief, MUA requires a very specific post-procedure rehabilitative process to prevent the recurrence of fibrotic scar tissue (which has been carefully stretched out during the procedure).  In order to have the full benefit of the MUA process, you must commit to approximately 4-6 weeks of post-op care which includes a course of approximately 12 chiropractic adjustments in addition to physiotherapy treatments and a home exercise program.  You should not plan any major travel during this time.

Although you will be sent home shortly after each procedure, you will need to rest (NO WORK!) on each of the three consecutive days MUA is performed.  In addition, you should not attempt any strenuous activities for at least two weeks, even though you will probably feel quite well.
